Deckorators FAQs

Question
1. Do the Aluminum and Glass Balusters offered by Deckorators meet the Canadian Building Code?
Answer

Yes they do. The Canadian Stamped Engineering Sheets with BCIN numbers are available as downloaded and printable documents on the website. Go to the Deckorators Home Page, then Installation and follow the link.

Question
2. Do the Colonial, Baroque, Arc and Traditional come in the 7 colour choices that the Classic Baluster has available?
Answer

No. They are only available in Black and Bronze. The Colonial is available in white as well.

Question
3. If I don’t use the Deckorator connectors and drill the rail to install my balusters is the warranty still valid?
Answer

The warranty is NOT valid if you are using Pressure Treated wood, due to the chemical used and the direct contact with the aluminum. Cedar, Kayu or any composite material is fine to pre-drill.

Question
4. Do the Scenic Glass Balusters come in any other width or sizes?
Answer

No. They are available in 32” and 38”, 4” width, clear or autumn colour, either straight or contoured.

Question
5. Do I need to use the Scenic Glass Connector when installing Glass Balusters?
Answer

No you do not need to use the Scenic Glass Connector. The baluster comes with pre-drilled holes, screws and rubber grommets so that you may screw it directly into the rail. (See installation instructions)
