Underdeck

before and after UnderdeckUnderDeck is a new product developed in the late 90's to solve the age old problem of what to do with that wet, dark, ugly space underneath your second level deck. UnderDeck solved the problem by delivering a unique innovative functional yet aesthetically pleasing solution. Instead of using conventional methods of making an area watertight by using rubber liners and roofing tar, UnderDeck chose the alternative. The UnderDeck solution allows the water to penetrate the deck, as mother nature intended, and deal with it after is makes its way through the deck boards. After all, why fight mother nature, she always wins in the end. As the water migrates downward it is intercepted by a series of collector panels and joist gutters. The water contacts the arched collector panels and is diverted to the outer edges where it flows into the joist gutters. The joist gutters are pitched away from the structure at a minimum rate of 1" per 10' of deck length. At this point the water makes its way down the joist gutter and exists the system.

The homeowner has taken the unused or under utilized space beneath their second-level deck and turned it into a clean, dry, bright area that can be used for outdoor parties, storage - not to mention the fact that the patio furniture will not be getting wet and dirty anytime soon.

This product was developed with the homeowner and contractor in mind. It is easy enough to be installed by a homeowner and tough enough to be appreciated by contractors all over the nation.
